Keeping a clean house can be taxing at times, so we can only imagine the stress that comes with this responsibility for an elderly or disabled individual. Having a clean home provides an overall sense of satisfaction and can ultimately lead to better health. Your loved one should not be deprived of such feelings just because they cannot keep up with every small chore around their home. These chores can also be uncomfortable, such as bending over while doing the dishes, kneeling on the ground to clean a stain, or reaching across a countertop to wipe it down. If these things cannot be taken care of in a timely manner, germs will accumulate, stains and build-up will begin to form, and odors will develop.
Reliance HomeCare’s caregivers possess a variety of cleaning skills, both inside and outside of the home, including basic chores such as sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming. Our caregivers will make it easier for your loved one to relax and bask in the cleanliness of their home, therefore allowing more time to focus on the things they truly enjoy.
Our Light Housekeeping Services include:
- Outside Chores
Our caregivers have the capability to assist with some small outdoor chores, including gardening and light yardwork. These tasks can often become uncomfortable for your loved one, but allow our caregivers to keep everything in good shape while your family member continues to enjoy their yard.
- Laundry and Linens
Bending over and moving laundry or changing linens can be straining on your loved one. This service includes washing, drying, folding, putting laundry away, ironing, and changing linens on the bed.
- Organization
Things within a home should be organized neatly, making things accessible and/ or properly stowed. Our caregivers are proficient in organizing countertops, dressers, nightstands, coffee tables, bathroom cabinets, closets, and any other areas in your loved one’s home where you might notice clutter.
- Kitchen Cleaning
A kitchen should be cleaned on a daily basis. Our caregivers will not only clean countertops and do dishes, but they will frequently check areas like countertops, refrigerators, floors, and other areas your loved one cannot comfortably get to.
- Bathroom Cleaning
The bathroom can be a dangerous place for an elderly or disabled person. Our caregivers will ensure that all areas of the floor are clean and dry, that any plug-in items are safely stowed away from the sink, and that the tub/shower is properly cleaned.
Our goal at Reliance HomeCare is to maintain your loved one’s safety and independence by allowing them to live the life they are used to living.
